Meet Patricia Babbitt, MPA-C in Alexandria, and Ruther Glen, VA

Patricia Babbitt, MPA-C has been working in the urgent care setting for 10+ years. Patricia graduated from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA as a Physician Assistant. Upon graduation, she began working at a level-one trauma hospital in the ICU for 4 years. While working at the trauma center, she was an active trainer/member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). She extended her physician assistant training through the University of Nebraska Medical Center to MPA-C, specializing in urgent care/critical care. Patricia’s medical background prior to working as a physician assistant was as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Patricia worked as a traveling physician assistant in urgent care for 4 years, concentrating in rural health areas throughout the US. This experience was immense as it exposed her to varying degrees of difficulties being faced in today’s medical practices.

Patricia believes in a work/life balance as well as life experiences to treat her patients with compassion and respect. She also has an understanding of the difficulties patients and the medical communities are experiencing, especially in rural areas.

Patricia adheres to core medical practice guidelines put in place by AMA, AAPA, ACCME, and AAFP to maintain the highest level of safety for her patients.
