Patricia Babbitt, MPA-C has been working in the urgent care setting for 10+ years. Patricia graduated from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA as a Physician Assistant. Upon graduation, she began working at a level-one trauma hospital in the ICU for 4 years. While working at the trauma center, she was an active trainer/member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). She extended her physician assistant training through the University of Nebraska Medical Center to MPA-C, specializing in urgent care/critical care. Patricia’s medical background prior to working as a physician assistant was as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Patricia worked as a traveling physician assistant in urgent care for 4 years, concentrating in rural health areas throughout the US. This experience was immense as it exposed her to varying degrees of difficulties being faced in today’s medical practices.
