Dr. Elsayed completed his residency training in family medicine at Michigan State University/McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, where he received the Resident Teacher Award. Before his family medicine training, he completed two years of general surgery residency training at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Ross University School of Medicine with High Honors after completing his undergraduate degree at George Washington University in Washington, DC.
With broad experience in family medicine and urgent care, he has held several positions in and around the greater Northern Virginia area. Dr. Elsayed is interested in teaching, having previously held the position of Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at West Virginia University. Before returning to the Northern Virginia area, he worked in Michigan.
Dr. Elsayed’s interests include disease prevention, health maintenance, lifestyle coaching, and mental illness management, in addition to chronic and acute illness and injury treatment.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Elsayed enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his family.
